Team Shimano embarked on a journey to Bali, Indonesia in search of the ultimate adventure. Shimano athlete Cam McCaul and local guides trekked through the jungle to find their own adventure through the Balinese mountains. Volcanic activity and tropical climate created a perfect recipe for trails connecting rural neighborhoods to one another making DEORE XT the perfect group for this rugged adventure.

Cam and his crew chose to ride DEORE XT, the original mountain bike groupset, for their adventure through Bali.

The latest innovation of DEORE XT, M8000, is now available in 3x11, 2x11, and 1x11. 

Cam chose to go with our 2x11 option with 36-26 gearing up front and a 11-42 cassette in back to tackle some of the steep pitches. On his brakes he ran 180mm Ice Tech rotors front and rear.
